What is minimum number of nights I can hire for?
Minimum 3 nights for most of the year.
During Peak Season (summer), minimum 7 nights.
Do you hire per night or day?
All our hires are per night, therefore a 3 night hire gives you the best part of 4 days but doesn’t cost you for 4 days hire.What is your Best Price Guarantee?
We guarantee to have the best prices for our models of motorhome. If you find a comparable company & vehicle at a better price (within 7 days of booking), we will refund the difference plus 10%.What is the Payment Timeline for the hire?
To secure the booking, a 35% deposit is required. The remaining balance is due 6-8 weeks before your hire start date. -
What age are your vehicles?
We refresh our fleet after every season; ensuring that our vehicles are one year old at most.Where will I find the vehicle details required by campsites and ferry companies?
You’ll find more specific vehicle information in your booking confirmation email entitled “Thank you for choosing Freedom Motorhomes”.
If you’re unable to find this email, we recommend checking your junk or spam folder, just in case it has been filtered there. -
What time can I collect the motorhome and what time does it need to be back?
Normal collection time is from 15:00 and return by 11:00.
Early Collection and/or Late Return may be arranged subject to vehicle availability, with an additional fee of 50% of the nightly rate. Please contact our team for assistance.
If you’d prefer not to guarantee an Early Collection and/or Late Return, you’re welcome to wait and see what options may be available closer to your hire date. Simply contact us the week before your hire begins, and we’ll advise based on the vehicle schedule. -
Is there secure parking to leave my car while away?
Yes, we have plenty of customer parking with a secure gated entrance. -
What age do I have to be to hire a motorhome?
We hire our vehicles to anyone aged 25yrs – 75yrs with 2 years driving experience.Can I drive the motorhome with a standard driving licence?
Yes, you can drive any of our vehicles with a standard driving licence as they are all under 3500kg. -
Is insurance included?
Yes, insurance is included with all our hires. There is a £1000 excess deposit, which you will receive back once the vehicle is returned. You’re welcome to take out your own excess insurance.Do your vehicles come with Breakdown Cover?
Yes, all our vehicles come with 24hr breakdown cover. That said, they are all new vehicles kept in great condition, as such we have thankfully not had a breakdown to-date.Do I need Travel Insurance?
Yes, we always recommend having travel insurance, if for any reason you are unable to travel it’s best to have travel insurance so you’re covered.What proof of address (POA) is acceptable for the insurance?
Our insurer has specific POA requirements. Please read the “Final Info & DVLA” email carefully to ensure your motorhome hire insurance is processed smoothly. You’ll receive this email 14 days before your hire begins. -
Do you have child car seats available?
We have a variety of child car seats available for free, on request:
- Baby Seat (0-1 years)
- Child Seat (1-3 years)
- Child High-Backed Booster Seat (4-12 years)Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we do have dog friendly motorhomes. There is an additional fee of £50 to cover the extra clean including a special sanitisation and deodorising process. We just ask that any dogs in the motorhomes are well behaved, they don’t go onto the upholstery, and that you use your own blankets/dog bed for the dog to sit on etc.Do you have bike racks?
Yes, bike racks are available on request. They can hold up to 4 bikes, with a max. 50kg capacity (15kg/rail).Is a gas bottle included?
Yes, you will be provided with a gas bottle (not necessarily full) which will be enough for all basic use. If you plan to be off grid without an electric hook up you’ll potentially need extra gas as the appliances (Heating/Hot-Water/Fridge Freezer) are all powered by gas when off grid, so if you’d like a spare you can add an extra full spare bottle during the booking process (6kg or 13kg depending on the vehicle). -
