**UPDATE** 10/06/2020, Today the Government advised us to prepare for a return to business from the 15th July onward’s with appropriate safety guidelines. As standard we clean the motorhomes from top to bottom with special cleaning products proven to kill Coronavirus between hires anyway, and as extra precaution we are now installing our special Ozone Steriliser machine to sanitise the whole interior of the vehicle as these systems are also proven to kill off Coronavirus and don’t leave anything untouched as it works through the air. So we can all have peace of mind there’s no danger of contamination between hire’s. We will also do the handover with social distancing in mind wearing gloves and facemasks. See Scottish Government website for most recent update on the guidelines.
*Update* 28/05/2020, Due to current circumstances with the Covid 19 pandemic we are following Scottish government guidelines. We will start hiring our motorhomes out again when we have reached phase 3 of the lockdown framework.
‘In this phase you can drive beyond your local area for leisure and exercise purposes.’ & ‘Relaxation of restrictions on accommodation providers (including hotels, B&Bs and holiday homes).’ will enable campsites to open.
Our understanding is phase 3 could be anytime from the 10th July, and hopefully by August as the Scottish schools return on 11th August and this is also within phase 3, so although there’s no confirmed date as yet we’re hopeful bookings will be OK for August.
So therefore our bookings are now open again for reservations from the 1st August. However, just in case restrictions haven’t lifted to phase 3 by then, we will guarantee 100% refund on any booking cancelled directly due to Covid 19 restrictions, or we can arrange an alternative date accordingly, and refund any difference in price if applicable.
As is the nature of hiring a motorhome, they are an extremely safe way of enjoying a self isolation holiday in this strange time. All of our vehicles are deep cleaned between hires and have minimal contact out with the customers.
We have also put some extra measures in place so our staff will be wearing extra protection when cleaning and as much as possible there will be social distancing when explaining how to operate the vehicles on collection from our depot.
Campsites should also be re-opening in phase 3 for self contained vehicles such as motorhomes & so you will find all the facilities you need to run your vehicles around Scotland, subject to area. I.e. some of the more isolated destinations may have different rules on this. So always check online before travelling somewhere or contact us directly where we can find you the most up to date information.
If you have any other concerns on this matter, please don’t hesitate to message us privately.
